(The altar set up for Lord Krishna)The birthday of Lord Krishna, Krishna Jayanti was celebrated at Sufi Dar on the 30th of August 2002. Flowers decorated the marble statues of Lord Krishna and Radha. An altar was set on a low stage on which a cradle was placed with Baby Lord Krishna in it.
(Offerings of butter, sweets and fruit made to Lord Krishna)Devotees made offerings of butter, sweets and fruits to Lord Krishna. The altar was beautifully decorated for the joyous occasion. Around midnight, the time when Lord Krishna was born, Puj Dada Ratanchandji and the devotees performed the Aarti.
(Puj Dada Rantanchandji performing the Aarti)On the day of the naming ceremony, devotees turned up in large numbers. Puj Dada Ratanchandji offered parsaad to Baby Lord Krishna. Aarti was also performed and parsaad was distributed to all.
